How to post a referral offer
A referral offer is a post from your business. It tells people nearby what reward you'll give them for sending you a client, a tech, a student, or a salon. It isn't a way to refer a friend to Polish Perfect. These steps put your offer on your city's referrals page, on your listing, and in the feed. To see who reads the feed, read how the feed works.
Your business type
Before you start
- A Polish Perfect account, signed in.
- A listing you've claimed, live on Polish Perfect. Not claimed yet? Claim your business first.
- Who you want sent your way, and the reward you'll give for it. Decide when someone earns it, too, so you can say so in the post.
- The right phone number on your listing. The offer's public page has a Call button that uses it.
Post your referral offer
- 1
Open a new post
Sign in and go to Home in your dashboard. On a computer, click "New post" at the top of the page. On a phone, tap the round blue plus button on the Home tab, at the end of the row with All, Jobs, Deals, and Referrals.
You can also start from your listing: open it from My Listings (Listings on a phone) and tap "New post" beside Your posts ("Create a post" if you have none yet). Those screens ask the same questions and also let you pick a photo for the post. The buttons there read "Preview Post" and "Post Now".
- 2
Choose Referral
Under "What do you want to post?", tap Referral. If you have more than one business, tap the right one under "Posting for" first. A post belongs to one listing.
- 3
Pick who you want referred
The screen is called "Add details" and asks "What type of referral?". Under Referral Type, tap Refer a Client or Refer a Tech.
Supply stores choose Refer a Salon or Refer a Tech. Schools choose Student Referral, Instructor Referral, or Salon Partnership.
- 4
Pick the reward
Under Reward, tap one of the choices. If none of them fits, tap Custom. You'll type your own reward on the next screen. Then tap "Preview post".
The reward choices differ by business type. Supply stores can pick Store Credit or % Off First Order, or tap Custom.
- 5
Check the Title and Description
The Preview screen fills in a Title and a Description from what you tapped. If you chose Custom, they say "Custom" where the reward goes, so type your real reward into both. Add how someone earns it, such as after the new client's first visit. Read it closely. You can't edit a post after it's published.
You can also tap "Write it for me with AI" for a new Description. It works from your Title and anything you've typed.
- 6
Publish
Tap "Post it now". You'll see "Your post is live!". Tap "See it in the feed" to go back to the feed, or "Post another" to start a new post.
What happens next
Your offer runs for 60 days, then hides on its own. It shows in the feed, on your listing, and on the public referrals page for your city: nail salon referrals, nail supply referrals, or nail school referrals. Anyone can read the public page without an account.
People who want to take part contact you. The offer's own page shows your business name and address, with a Call button. Giving the reward is between you and the person who sent the referral.
Still running the offer after 60 days? Create a new post.
Something went wrong
- I see "Add your business first"
- Your account doesn't have a listing yet, and a post has to belong to one. Tap "Go to My listings", or follow how to claim your business, then come back and start again.
- The "Preview post" button stays gray
- Both questions need an answer. Tap one Referral Type and one Reward.
- My post says "Custom" where the reward should be
- That's what the Title and Description say when you tap Custom. Before you publish, replace the word with your real reward in both boxes. Already published? You can't edit a live post, so delete it and post again.
- "Post it now" stays gray, or I get an error
- The Title and the Description both need text. The Title can be up to 100 characters. If you see "Failed to create post. Please try again.", tap "Post it now" once more. Still stuck? Email support@polishperfect.co.
- I need to change or remove my offer
- On a computer, open your listing from My Listings, find the post under Your posts, and click the trash can. Confirm, then post again if you need to. A deleted post can't be brought back.
