Someone who has decided to get their nail license opens Polish Perfect and looks for a nail school in their city, or for the program they want. Working techs come to the same pages for continuing education and instructor training, and salon owners come to see where graduates are coming from. Your school is almost certainly on those pages already. This guide covers what a claimed school gets that an unclaimed one doesn't, where it shows up, how to be the one they call, and how to put the next open house in front of every tech and salon in your radius.
Four places, one claim
A nail school on Polish Perfect is one listing that shows up in four places. Each one does a different job, and a single free claim turns all four on.
- 01Your school's page: programs with hours, length, tuition, and kit cost, accreditations, your pass rate, hours, financial aid, photos, and an Enrollment card with Visit Website and your phone number on top.
- 02The directory pages: your city's school page, where people filter by program, plus one page per program per city. The program pages.
- 03The feed: the signed-in page where techs and salon owners near you check deals, jobs, and referral offers. A claimed school posts open houses, workshops, referral rewards, and instructor jobs into it free. How the feed works for schools.
- 04The salons: the owners hiring on Polish Perfect are the people who will hire your graduates. A claimed school can post a salon-partnership referral and point graduates at the jobs by city.
The first two are public and indexed by Google, so a school that fills in its page gets found by people who have never heard of Polish Perfect. The third is private to accounts and local by radius, which is what makes an open house posted there land.
What your school's page shows
The page is built to answer the questions a prospective student asks before calling: which programs, how long, how much, is it accredited, and do graduates pass the board. Here is everything on it, top to bottom.
Your school
ClaimedYour city · Nail Technician · $4,500 tuition
- State Approved
- 94% pass rate
- Evening / Weekend Classes
- Name, address, phone, and a Claimed badge once the school is yours. Up to two accreditations show as badges under the name.
- Quick facts: your state board pass rate, job placement rate, graduation rate, and years teaching, whichever you have set.
- Programs offered, one card each: clock hours, length, and the tuition in large type with the kit cost under it.
- Accreditation & approval: NACCAS accredited, state approved, financial aid eligible, GI Bill accepted, Pell Grant eligible.
- Student outcomes: the same pass, placement, and graduation rates, as tiles.
- School hours by day, with an Open now that uses your time zone, and financial aid options when they are set.
- An Enrollment card with Visit Website when you have a site, otherwise View on Google, and a button that dials your phone. On a phone screen the same two buttons follow the reader in a bar at the bottom.
- Student reviews, and photos of the school: classroom, student salon, front desk. Yours lead the page once you upload them.
Every one of those comes from the editor in your dashboard once you claim, and nothing you type gets written over. What claiming changes, step by step.
How students find you
Two kinds of pages send people to your listing, and the same school is ranked the same way on both: claimed schools first, then by how complete, fresh, and responsive the listing is.
- The city page. Every city with nail schools has one, and it carries a Programs filter: nail technician, cosmetology, esthetics, barbering, and the rest. Filtering narrows the list to the schools tagged with that program; it never reorders what's left.
- The program pages. One per program per city, listing the schools there that teach it, with state and national roll-ups above and a program index over all of them. A program page for a city appears once three schools there are tagged with it.
Search on the site works the same way: someone typing school, academy, license, cosmetology, or a program name with a city is sent to nail schools. The rankings guide has the full order and the checklist for moving up it, and the student inquiries guide covers what happens once they land on your page.
One claim, three things at once
Claim the school and it moves above every unclaimed school in its city, the page shows your programs and tuition, and the feed opens for the open house.
Where your graduates go next
The salons on Polish Perfect are the same salons that will hire your students. A school with a claimed listing has two ways to use that.
- Point graduates at the jobs. Every salon hiring on Polish Perfect posts into the jobs by city, with the pay and the schedule on the post. A graduate with a free account sees the ones within their radius in the feed.
- Give graduates a profile that carries their reviews. A tech on Polish Perfect gets a public profile, and the reviews clients leave follow the tech from salon to salon. Your student salon's happy clients can be a graduate's first reviews. How tech profiles work.
- Offer salons a partnership. A referral post of the salon-partnership type, live sixty days, tells owners in your radius that you place graduates. A student-referral post with a reward from one hundred to five hundred dollars, or your own number, tells techs the same about enrolling.
Posting the open house
The directory pages are where a student goes when they are already looking. The feed is how you reach techs and owners before that. It is the page inside every owner's and tech's free account that lists what businesses near them have posted, within the radius they set.
- A deal: an open house, a free workshop, a tuition discount, or an enrollment special, live seven days. Post the week before the event, and the next one the week after.
- A referral: student referral with a reward from one hundred to five hundred dollars or your own number, instructor referral, or salon partnership, live sixty days.
- A job: instructor, admissions, or front desk, salary or hourly, with the programs the role covers, live thirty days, with applications arriving in your dashboard.
One post goes to the feed, to the public school deals page for your city, to its own page with a link you can share, and onto your listing, so a prospective student without an account sees it too. Posting is free with a claimed school. Boost, from five dollars, makes a post Featured and puts it in the Sponsored spots on the public city pages, including cities you choose, and every claimed school starts with free credit toward it. The feed for schools, in full.
What it costs
Nothing on this page has a fee. The listing, the claim, the editor, the program cards, and posting open houses, referral rewards, and jobs are free, with no plan and no renewal. The one paid feature is Boost, which is optional and sits on top: a post or the school itself in the Sponsored spots at the top of the city page, from five dollars, with free credit to start.
What we don't do
We don't sell leads and we don't charge per inquiry. The only thing between you and a student on your listing is your phone number.
The order to do it in
If you do nothing else, do the first three in one sitting. They take about twenty minutes with the school phone next to you.
- 01Claim the school. Free, one phone call, and it moves above every unclaimed school in your city on the spot.
- 02List your programs with tuition. Each program's hours, length, tuition, and kit cost. Tuition on at least one program is the biggest single completeness item, and it is what a student compares.
- 03Pick your accreditations and enter your pass rate. Both show on the page and both count.
- 04Add two photos, your hours, and a description in your own words.
- 05Post the next open house. How the feed works.
- 06Then read how schools are ranked and how student inquiries work, and change one thing a month.
