How to add your verified badge to your website

By the end of this page, your own website will show a badge that says your business is verified on Polish Perfect. Think of the sticker a restaurant puts in its front window: something to be proud of and show off. The badge comes with a claimed listing, and you can read what claiming does for you.

Before you start

  • A listing that's yours and live. Not claimed yet? Start with how to claim your business.
  • A computer. The badge card shows in the desktop dashboard. It isn't on the phone layout.
  • A way into your own website's editor. If someone else runs your site, you can send them the code instead.

Add your badge, step by step

  1. 1

Open My Listings on a computer

Sign in to your dashboard on a computer. In the left sidebar, press "My Listings".

  2. 2

    Open your business

Press your business name. It opens on the "Overview" page. Under the name on the left, check that the status says "Live".

If it says "Not live yet" or "Waiting to go live", your listing has no public page yet, so there's no badge card. It shows up once the listing is live.

  3. 3

    Find the badge card

Scroll to the bottom of "Overview". The card is called "Add your verified badge". It shows what your badge looks like, and under it a box labeled "Copy this code into your site".

The badge matches your listing type. It reads "Verified Nail Salon", "Verified Nail Supply", or "Verified Nail School", with "Polish Perfect" under it.

  4. 4

    Copy the code

Press "Copy code". The button changes to "Copied!" for a moment. The code is now ready to paste.

  5. 5

Paste the code into your website

Open your website's editor. Add a block that takes custom HTML or an embed code, and paste the code into it. The footer and the home page are the usual spots.

Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, and GoDaddy are builders that have an HTML or embed block. The menus are different in each one, so look up "custom HTML" or "embed" in your builder's help.

  6. 6

Publish your site and test the badge

Save and publish your website. Then open your site and click the badge. Your Polish Perfect page opens in a new tab.

What happens next

The badge stays on your site for as long as the code is there. Anyone who clicks it lands on your public Polish Perfect page.

Here's what the badge tells a visitor: your business is on Polish Perfect, and you've been verified as its owner. It isn't a rating, and it doesn't change your place in the list. To see what does, read how rankings work.

Something went wrong?

I don't see the badge card
There are 2 reasons. You're on a phone, and the card only shows in the desktop dashboard. Or your listing isn't live yet, and the status says "Not live yet" or "Waiting to go live". Open the "Overview" page on a computer once the status says "Live".
The Copy code button did nothing
Click inside the box labeled "Copy this code into your site". That selects all of the code. Then copy it with your keyboard and paste it into your website.
My website shows the code as text
The code went into a normal text block. Take it out, add a block made for custom HTML or an embed code, and paste it there.
My site builder won't take the code
The code is 1 link with a small drawing inside it. It has no script, and it doesn't load an image file from us. If your builder still blocks it, ask your builder's support where custom HTML is allowed on your plan.
I saw a badge card while I was claiming
That's the same badge. On the claim screen where you enter your code, a card called "Grab your verified badge while you wait" has the same code. Finish your claim first, so the badge is true when visitors see it.

Your badge is waiting in your dashboard.
