How the price is set
You set your max
Pick the most you'd pay for one tap. We never charge you more than that.
We line everyone up
Each business gets a score. It is their max times how strong their listing is. The highest score gets the top Sponsored spot.
You pay just enough to stay ahead
You pay one cent more than it takes to beat the business right below you. Most of the time that is less than your max.
Try it
Move the sliders. Watch the price.
Two businesses want the same Sponsored spot. One is you.
The other business has an average listing.
- Top spotYou$2.00 × 1score 2.00
- Next spotOther business$1.20 × 1score 1.20
$1.21per tap
That is $0.79 less than your max.
With your listing, $1.20 would tie the other business. You pay one cent more.
This is a simple example. A real page can have more businesses in line, and the price is worked out again when one joins, leaves, or changes its max.
The lowest price
Find the minimum
The minimum is the least a tap can cost. It depends on how far you reach and how many businesses boost the same page.
$0.25per tap
Your max has to be at least the minimum for your Boost to show.
Your budget
Set a limit and stop thinking about it
You type what you want to spend a day. We multiply it by 30. That is your limit for the month.
When you reach your limit, your Boost pauses. It starts again in your next billing month. The smallest limit is $5 a month.
How you're charged
Per tap, never per view
People can see your Sponsored spot all day for free. You pay when one of them taps it.
Free credit goes first
Every claimed business starts with free credit. Your first taps come out of that.
A card on file
You add a card when you start your first Boost. Once a month we bill it for the taps your credit didn't cover.
Stop any time
Pause your Boost, change your max, change your limit, or end it. There is no contract.
Questions
- Is my listing really free?
- Yes. Your page, claiming it, your reviews, your badge, and your job and deal posts all cost nothing. Boost is the only thing we charge for.
- Why did I pay less than my max?
- Your max is a limit, not a price. You pay one cent more than it takes to stay ahead of the business below you. If they bid low, you pay low.
- Can I ever pay more than my max?
- No. Your max is the most one tap can cost you, every time.
- What makes a listing strong?
- How often people tap it, how complete it is, your rating and reviews, and how long your Boost has been running. A strong listing pays less for the same spot.
- What if I'm the only one boosting a page?
- You get the spot and pay the minimum for that page.
- Does a higher max always win?
- No. A business with a lower max and a stronger listing can end up ahead. The score is the max times the listing.
- Does Boost change my place in the free list?
- Not by itself. Boost gets you a Sponsored spot. Your regular listing stays where the free list puts it.
