Nail Tech Profile Importer privacy policy

The Nail Tech Profile Importer is a Chrome extension from Polish Perfect. It lets a nail tech with a Polish Perfect profile pick photos from their own Instagram page and add them to their Polish Perfect gallery. This policy covers only the extension. Our website privacy policy covers polishperfect.co.

What the extension collects

• Your sign-in.The extension uses your existing Polish Perfect account. Our sign-in provider, Clerk, keeps your session in the extension's local storage and cookies so we know which profile to add photos to. The extension never sees your password.
• The photos you pick.When you press Import, the extension sends the address of each photo you selected, plus the description Instagram attaches to it, to Polish Perfect. Nothing is sent for photos you don't pick.
• The address of your current tab.The side panel checks it on your computer to tell whether you're on Instagram and to show the profile name. It isn't sent anywhere or stored.

What it doesn't collect

The extension doesn't record your browsing history, read other websites, read your Instagram messages, followers, or account details, or include analytics, advertising, or tracking code. It only runs on an Instagram page when you press Start picking.

How we use it

Each photo you import is copied into Polish Perfect's own storage and added to your public nail tech profile, with Instagram's description saved as its caption (up to 280 characters). We don't keep the original Instagram address. Imported photos are public on your profile right away, the same as photos you upload yourself.

We use this information only to provide the import feature. We don't sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to decide credit or lending. The use of information received through the extension follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Who else handles it

Only the service providers that run Polish Perfect for us: Clerk for sign-in, and our hosting and file storage providers for the photos. They process it on our behalf and for no other purpose. We share it with anyone else only when the law requires us to.

Your choices

• Hide or delete any imported photo from your profile dashboard.
• Sign out of Polish Perfect, or remove the extension from Chrome, to clear the session it keeps on your computer.
• Email support@polishperfect.co to have your imported photos or your account deleted.

Children

The extension is for working nail professionals. It isn't meant for anyone under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
