One of these amazing artists is indiastyledyou, a passionate nail technician who has taken the nail art world by storm.
We chatted with indiastyledyou about her journey, her favorite trends, and her most memorable moments in the industry.

From Childhood Dreams to Nail Art Queen
Q: Can you tell us about your journey to becoming a nail artist? What inspired you to enter this field?
Hi, my name is India Arielle, I am 21 and I’m a licensed nail technician. When I was a little girl, I’ve always had a thing for nails. Whether it was press-ons, gel polish, regular nail polish, anything nail-related, I was excited about!
As I grew older, I would have days where I would buy the KISS nail kits and do my nails. Of course, I wasn’t pleased with the results (lol), but practice makes progress, right? Yeah, there wasn’t any!
Fast forward, what truly inspired me to get back into nails was never losing the passion for it.
Q: What are your favorite nail art trends currently, and how do you incorporate them into your work?
My favorite nail trend is 3D swirls. I incorporate this design into my sets whenever I do freestyles or whenever a client requests them. 🙂
Q: How do you stay inspired and keep your creativity flowing?
The way I stay inspired and keep my creativity flowing is by trying to keep up with trends. I like expanding my brain for the creativity I choose to give my clients or try difficult designs that are requested. How would you ever know you can’t do something if you don’t try?
Q: Can you walk us through your creative process when designing a new nail look?
When designing a new nail look, I use my iPad. I have the app Procreate and a template of different nail shapes. Sometimes when it comes to putting a set together, I’ll look at different nails and combine them all into one or think of a theme in my head and start designing.
Q: What has been the most challenging aspect of your career as a nail artist, and how did you overcome it?
The most challenging aspect of my career as a nail technician is having anxiety and being introverted with an extroverted job.
I overcame it by growing bonds with my clients and making conversations throughout the years to warm up and get comfortable with talking and working at the same time.
It wasn’t easy due to me being anxious/introverted but sometimes you have to push yourself to the fullest to be your best self for your clients and yourself, while also trying to get/be comfortable in the process.
Q: What are your top tips for someone who wants to maintain healthy, stylish nails?
My top tips for someone who wants to have/keep healthy nails: DO NOT rip your nails off. Soak-offs are your best friend. Keep cuticle oil with you at all times to avoid dry cuticles. Keep your nail maintenance to a minimum (4-6 weeks).
Two weeks isn’t healthy. If you are a minimalist, try abstract designs to keep up with trends. 🙂
Q: How do you think social media has changed the nail art industry, and how has it impacted your career?
Social media has TRULY changed the nail art industry. Of course, nail history repeats itself, but in today’s world, everything is so diverse with nails.
IT’S AMAZING! Social media has impacted my career due to me showcasing my work on my Instagram as a portfolio! It has brought me many great clients, and a few celebrities, but I know there’s more to come for the future 🙂.
Q: What’s your most memorable client experience or project, and what made it so special?
My most memorable client experience was when my client showed me a corkscrew nail design I’ve NEVER done in my life. We were in my suite until 3 am.
She had so much faith in me that I knew I had but I wasn’t confident. But she KNEW it was possible that I could do it and what happened? I did it.
She was happy and satisfied and I felt really great inside because it showed me that even if you have doubt in yourself, there’s always someone rooting for you, you just don’t know until the moment comes.
Q: How do you plan to evolve your work and brand in the coming years? What’s next for you?
To evolve my work, I plan on being a traveling nail technician and teaching classes to those who’re interested in becoming a nail tech! I recommend everyone to follow their dreams!
Q: Lastly, for all the aspiring nail artists out there, what advice would you give to those just starting their journey?
For all the aspiring nail technicians, please do not compare yourself to other people’s work, journey, and/or success. We ALL have to start AND have started from SOMEWHERE! Manifest, talk to the universe & keep practicing to make progress! I wish you all the best in your success. <3
